Anne Sassoon is a figurative artist who left South Africa for London during the apartheid years and is now living in Jerusalem. She draws her subjects from the immediate environment - the social and political aspects, as well as the visual. Her current work incorporates images of the homeless and ideas that relate to Cape Town's background of slavery, within a framework of mountain and seascape.
