Du Yi, was born in 1984 in Wuhan, China. He studied Sculpture at the Hubei Institute Of Fine Arts and began doing street art in 2004 under the alias DAL. His graffiti work can be seen in so many cities in China .In 2008, DAL teamed up with other like-minded street artists to form the art collective, CHIRP. The collective produced numerous outdoor projects ranging from graffiti, to installation to performance art. During the summer of 2009, DAL relocated to Beijing with the hopes of continuing his art practice and will continue to use non-traditional spaces to house his creative expression.
