The Great Walk and More
The Great Walk and More was a 'festival' of site specific art worksby local and international artists. The works wereinstalled in and around the neighbourhood of Greatmore Street. The festival was generously sponsored by the National Lottery Distribution Trust fund. The purpose was to bring contemporary art into the community€™s space and bring new visitors to the area of Woodstock. Performers lead visitors from Lower Main Road up Greatmore Street. Members of the community transformed their porches and shop fronts into individual galleries and exhibiting spaces, and on the opening evening they all come out of their houses to €˜light€™ the way. Visitors experienced live art, art installations, sound installations and street performances as they walked the streets. A stage was set up in the grounds of the Learning Centre at number 66 Greatmore Street where audiences enjoyed different music and video projections. On both Friday 25th June from dusk and all day Saturday 26th, visitors walked around the designated area to experience an entirely different and unusual art Exhibition while having the chance to explore this unique and fascinating community.

Thupelo 2010 - Interventions
Thupelo is an international workshop held every year and invites up to 25 local and international artists to participate. This year, Greatmore Studios received generous funding from the National Lottery Distribution Trust fund and hosted the workshop at the studios in Greatmore Street, Woodstock. Thupelo has held 30 workshops to date and varies the location each year. 2010 was a special year with the intervention of the football world cup but this in no way distracted the artists who worked intensely for two weeks on their own work as well as making works specifically for the neighbourhood. The results culminatined in the Great Walk and More Festival and were enjoyed by over 1000 spectators.
