Accommodation:
The artists' house available for visiting artists is located in close proximity to the studios in Woodstock. A mere five minute walk from Greatmore Studios, artists also have easy access to the main road which serves as a major bus/taxi route through to Cape Town. The house is equipped with bath facilities and furnished kitchen and beds. Artists taking up residency at the house are required to bring their own towel. Please note that it can become very cold in winter in Cape Town, as houses do not have central heating systems. It is particularly cold between June-August, so please pack warm. For further information about residency at 33 Milner Road please see House Rules and Mission Statement.

Showing work at the end of your residency:

All visiting artists will have the opportunity to "showcase" work completed during their residency: a chance to invite people you have met during your stay and other artists, critics and friends. This will take the form of an "open-studios" or use of the small gallery incorporated in No47, when available. This gallery will be available free of charge to the artists. The mounting, dismantling and shipping of the exhibition works is the artist’s responsibility.

Returning artworks at the end of the residency:

This is the responsibility of the artist and should be considered in the overall budget requirements if you wish to return your work home or send it elsewhere. We recommend that you research costs and means of transporting work prior to your arrival. The administrator can advise on shipping and freight companies.
